New (to me) Musical Discovery

Stumbled on a video of Jeff Beck playing one of my all-time-favorite guitar solos. Top two are this, and Santana’s Europa.

While watching the Video we notice Beck deferring solo to the bass player. Stellar performance by a young lady who had only been playing for 3 years, she’s somewhere between 17 and 20 years old at the time. Introducing (to me anyway) Tal Wilkenfeld.

Since then she’s been touring with Herbie Hancock – was on Letterman in June.
